i have some black leather boots sexy 4 inch heels and they are knee high with black leather bows on the outside. i fell in love with them when i saw them, but i realized i have no idea what kind of skirt or dress to wear with them. they are leg hugging so i can't tuck anything into them. i like skirts also. what do you think goes with knee high boots.
What kind of skirt do i wear with some boots that i have?
Dark/black denim mini skirt :)..or short shorts not that u asked abwt them, but i think it looks great 2gethaa!
Reply:topless
Reply:Short and plain no patterns bcuz of the bows on ur boots.
Reply:A plain long sleeved shift dress which finishes about half an inch above the knee.
Reply:I say you should where a black or white skirt.
Reply:light wash skirt.
Reply:Long broom style skirts.
Reply:hmmm if ur kinda a wild dresser try a whiteand black polka dotty shirt, white gypsy skirt, then wear the boots, but wiht like a tall pair of white and black polka dotty socks ocming out... a girl at my school wore somthing like it, supa cute!!
Reply:Boot-cut jeans would look good with them, or a flowy, feminine [too the knees] boho skirt.

What kind of boots look most stylish now?
I live in the middle of nowhere where I have to wear practical footwear to keep my toes from freezing off. In March I will be spending some time in civilization, and I want to look good. I want to bring one pair of boots. I have three choices, all with a similar one inch cowboy boot type heel. One is a pair of dark brown suede cowboy boots, one is a pair of light brown ankle covering length biker chick boots, and the other is a pair of expensive looking, two tone almost knee length leather boots. If the I wear the high boots with jeans that bag just a teeny bit at the knee is that okay, or do they have to be pencil thin not to look dorkish, even though super skinny jeans would make me look fat... and please don't tell me to get high heels because I never wear them. Thanks.
What kind of boots look most stylish now?
I'd bring the knee high boots. They can be pretty versatile, and you can mix it up a bit depending on the length of your stay. You can wear them with your jeans tucked in. If you have boot cut jeans, you can wear them over the boots. Or, depending on how the boots look, you can always wear them with a knee length skirt (I'd wear some thick tights underneath for added warmth).
Reply:Well, the most stylish, as far as I can tell, seem to be Uggs. Everyone and their sister is wearing them. Of the three you list, I'd go with the "light brown biker chick boots", I guess.
No, you don't have to wear super skinny jeans, most people are wearing boot cut jeans.
Reply:If you want to know what guys prefer, it would be the knee high boots
Reply:you can wear the knee-highs with the jeans cuz everyone does stuff like that. maybe you should get uggs. everyone has them!
Reply:I would go with the last pair for sure
Reply:i would go with either the first or the last pair of boots, preferably the last. Knee-length leather boots are always in style.
Reply:I see everyone wearing those winter boots you know with all the fur and they are comfy, cute, and warm......
here are some pictures of some...

Are these boots worth the money?
Okay, I got these boots from Aldos Shoe store. Thing is that these boots are $80, but my tall leather boots that was bought from Ten Toes were only $50. Should I return these boots?
If I shouldn't return them then what should I wear them with other than jeans, i know jeans go well with these already. Thanks!
here are the picture of the boots:

Return them, they are overpriced and you can get them anywhere. I'd get some cheaper ones. Tall boots are cuter anyway.
Reply:personally I don't like them. They are way too expensive and they arent even made by leather,as it is said next to the pic.I suggest you turn them back
Reply:if u like them and they fit, then yes
Reply:They would be cute with some bootcut jeans and a sweater!
Reply:I'd return them, not worth the money, and they are synthetic!
Reply:i think they're decently priced but i'd never wear them. their resemblence to wellingtons is overwhelming. my style of ankle boot is more like this: http://www.neimanmarcus.com/store/catalo... so i think you should return them.

Help me find boots like these?
My dad bought me these boots for Christmas a couple years ago. I wore them all the time and they lasted me two years but then they were so beat up I had to throw them out. I want to find a pair similar but I can't. Here is a description of them:
They were plain black, soft leather boots that zipped up the sides. They went half way up the calf. They had a very thick, 2" high, heel.
Every shoe store I go to all I can find is shiny leather, full calf, skinny heels, high heels, etc....
Please help me find boots similar to what I described. Include a link if you can please

I was going to a leather gay bar for the first time this weekend. is this outfit good for there.?
black leather pants or shorts?
white or red silk button down the front long sleeve dress shirt?
knee high or calf high or ankle high leather boots
black leather vest
black leather spiked collar or black leather collar with bottom or sub on the collar
or if you have any other ideas that i can do let me know
I was going to a leather gay bar for the first time this weekend. is this outfit good for there.?
Do not wear silk shirts to a leather bar. Like the other person said it's either black or white t-shirts and preferably tight.
Wear the leather pants instead of the shorts, it's almost winter.
Your choice of boots doesn't sound right. Think more combat style boots, not thigh highs.
The vest is a good choice.
You don't really need the collar. Maybe somebody could teach you the intricacies of the different colored handkerchiefs that the guys put in their pockets at leather bars. You can find out what they like in bed just by the color of them, no need to ask!
Reply:I'd leave the silk shirts at home, I might suggest a black or white tee shirt-
good luck and have fun!!
Reply:You will definitely stand out in that outfit! I bet you will look very handsome. Just a suggestion. Wear a leather jockstrap instead of underwear to finish off the outfit.

HELP! My boots were found in a puddle of water! What do I do?
I decided to clean up my shoe area and found a pair of nice leather boots soaking in a puddle of water! They have probably been in the water for quite some time now!
What should I do? Just let them dry out? Or should I put something on them before I let them dry? Will the leather get all wrinkly now?
HELP! My boots were found in a puddle of water! What do I do?
I don't know. But whenever you have damp or wet shoes and you don't think they'll be dry by morning; place them lying down in front of the refrigerator below the door. The heat coming out of the exhaust will dry them by morning.
Reply:Since they are already soaked, I'd wash them out the rest of the way, in case there is mold/mildew. Then stuff them with newspaper and pt them in a warm area, but not on a vent. Direct heat will cause the leather to dry out and crack. You will want to treat them with mink oil or something to moisturize them. i use silicone on my boots, but they are riding boots and supposed to be waterproof. Whatever you use will likely darken the leather.
If these are expensive boots, I'd take them to a leather cleaner.

What could i wear with boots like this?
dark skinny jeans, vintage gold jewelry, and some amazing colored scarves. Maybe a cool graphic tee shirt. With those boots I see curly or wavy hair, maybe a structured military style jacket, and some amazingly colored nails!
I am also seeing some ethnic printed dresses in magazines that would look so cool with those boots. Dresses with Ikat prints, from H%26amp;M and Urban Outfitters would be the cheapest, but Anthropologie also has amazing dresses if you have the budget! Go to their online site.
Those boots are so gorgoues, and you can do so much with them. You could also do the Taylor Swift thing and pair them with a white dress or skirt, if you felt so inclined.
Have fun!
Reply:a funky brown or black skirt past the knee not too tight but not an A frame either. a kewl shirt layered with another one under it with a big brown belt about the same color with a big funky buckle attached. and a pair of simple hoops to add as an accessory. maybe a couple simple bracelets as well like beads or a couple charm bracelets. those boots could do alot if u think ;)ooooooooo or a soft sweater like cashmere, and put it with a suede skirt of brown darker than the boots but the sweater a soft color, and a small choker of pearls.

As a vegetarian can I wear leather?
What are the arguments for and against?
I have leather boots and watch strap but I have worn my boots almost everyday since Christmas and my watch strap has lasted and will last for ages, do you think it's better to sacrifice 1 animal and use it wisely or use synthetic/plastic products that are harmful to the environment and and don't last as long?
As a vegetarian can I wear leather?
personally, i no longer buy leather products.
i DO wear my leather products that are not worn out yet because i feel that it would be wasteful to get rid of something i already own.
it does pose a problem though, because people will often see you order a vegetarian plate on a menu and then pay for it out of your leather wallet.....people are always looking for reasons to call you a hypocrite, and wearing leather is an easy avenue for that.
whenever someone asks me about my leather shoes and purses i can at least tell them it's from before i went veg, and then they understand. i think vegetarians should avoid leather for the obvious reasons (byproduct of the beef industry) as well as the less obvious ones (giving people ammo to call vegetarians hypocritical).
in the end though, do what you want....it's your life.
Reply:Hi you might find this interesting and maybe disturbing at the same time, if you became vegetarian because of animal issues then you might be happier buying ethical alternatives.
If you dont want to throw them away, wear them until they are worn out and replace with non-leather goods.
WHAT'S WRONG WITH LEATHER?
Leather may be made from cows, pigs, goats, and sheep; exotic animals like alligators, ostriches, and kangaroos; and even dogs and cats, who are slaughtered for their meat and skins in China, which exports their skins around the world. Since leather is normally not labeled, you never really know where (or whom) it came from.
Most leather comes from developing countries like India and China, where animal welfare laws are either non-existent or not enforced. Many of the millions of cows and other animals who are killed for their skin endure the horrors of factory farming—extreme crowding and deprivation as well as castration, branding, tail-docking, and dehorning, all without any painkillers. In India, an investigation found that cows have their tails broken and chili peppers and tobacco rubbed into their eyes in order to force them to get up and walk after they collapse from exhaustion on the way to the slaughterhouse. At slaughterhouses, animals routinely have their throats slit and are skinned and dismembered while they are still conscious after improper stunning.
Most of the millions of animals slaughtered for their skin endure the horrors of factory farming before being shipped to slaughter, where many are skinned alive. Buying leather directly contributes to factory farms and slaughterhouses since skin is the most economically important byproduct of the meat-packing industry. Leather is also no friend of the environment since it shares all the environmental destruction of the meat industry, in addition to the toxins used in tanning.
With every pair of leather shoes that you buy, you sentence an animal to a lifetime of suffering. Instead, you can choose from hundreds of styles of nonleather shoes, clothing, belts, bags, and wallets. Fashion should be fun, not fatal!
Reply:There is no specific rule to what you should or should not do. you can be a strict vegetarian - eating no meat or fish, only eating free range eggs and non-animal tested products - or just one who cuts out the main things like meat and fish.
It really depends on why you are a vegetarian. If you believe animals should simply not be killed unnecessarily for food, then i guess you could stil believe it is ok for them to be killed for shoes you would get good use out of. i personally do not buy leather anymore and am a strict vegetarian as i have gradually become more aware of the poor treatment of animals (not just how or why they are killed). i used to cut out meat but stil buy the occassional leather product as i found it hard to start with but i have eventually got stricter and im sure you could do the same.
As long as you are not being hypocritical i think you can do what you like since you can justify your actions. Though i will say that if you care animals you should try not to buy leather since the animal is dying for your shoes. Also, i have read that even the UN (who aren't a vegetarian based organisation at all) have said that one of the greatest things a person can do for the environment is to become vegetarian. so dont feel bad about using synthetic products :)
Reply:You can wear whatever you want. There are strict ethical vegans, which don't believe in eating, using, or wearing any animal products at all. There are dietary vegans, which believe in just not eating animal products. There are vegetarians which just don't eat meat but may wear leather, eat eggs and dairy. It's all up to you.
Reply:Leather is a bi-product of the beef industry so you are only using product from an animal that has been killed for other reasons.
Animals are not killed specifically for leather (at least cows and pigs aren't).
So, where not buying beef will reduce the demand for beef, not buying leather will not reduce the number of cows and pigs killed.
I say, wear it without guilt
Reply:No way! The Society will pull your Veggie Card, and call the Veggie cops on you. :-)
I'm a vegetarian and I justify using leather this way. The cow or pig was killed for its meat, the hide is a byproduct, so why let it go to waste? If the world was 100% vegetarian I'd have to switch to synthetic, belts, watch bands and shoes.
BTW: most synthetics are made from oil, or dinosaur flesh.
Reply:I don't understand how someone can be opposed to killing a cow for his/her meat, but okay with wearing the animal's flesh. However, we all make our choices in this world.
Wear the boots and watch strap until they wear out and then replace with animal-friendly alternatives.
Reply:do you think it's fair to sacrifice one animal just to make a boot? I would go with synthetic. It's not as harmful to the environment as raising livestock for meat/leather.
Reply:I agree with you. I have a leather jacket because it is so practical and will last me a long time. I don't eat beef, but I have no problem with wearing leather.
Reply:Yes
You can eat anything you wish..
Most refuse meat in their diet but will eat eggs cheese and milk
There is no law to adhere to.
Both are a matter of choice some are extreme when announcing their choice
Reply:I've been veggie for 17 years and haven't purchase leather or suede items that entire time. I just feel if I'm not going to eat it, then I really don't feel right wearing it either.
Reply:Yes, but as a vegan you can't.

it does pose a problem though, because people will often see you order a vegetarian plate on a menu and then pay for it out of your leather wallet.....people are always looking for reasons to call you a hypocrite, and wearing leather is an easy avenue for that.
whenever someone asks me about my leather shoes and purses i can at least tell them it's from before i went veg, and then they understand. i think vegetarians should avoid leather for the obvious reasons (byproduct of the beef industry) as well as the less obvious ones (giving people ammo to call vegetarians hypocritical).
in the end though, do what you want....it's your life.

Why do leather shoes "bleed" brown stuff on my socks?
I just bought a pair of leather boots, and I've worn them a couple times now, and my socks have all these brown marks all over them. How long will this happen? Why does it do this? Is there any way to stop this?
Why do leather shoes "bleed" brown stuff on my socks?
Probably your feet are sweating, and the moisture is causing the dye in the leather to fade on to your socks. It's going to keep happening until your boots are good and broke in.
Try some Oxy Clean on your white socks. You might also want to try a pre-treatment like those Tide or Clorox pens of detergent for spots.
Once your boots get totally soaked--like in the rain--the dye will dry up. Until then, it's going to be leopard spotted socks for you.
Good luck.
Reply:you should return them..
because this happened to my brother also..
and the brown marks..is dried blood..
so you should return them..the problem is they are probably to tight for you..maybe they are small..
so i think you should return them asap..
just clean them first..
im sorry about your leather shoes..
good luck.
Reply:The sweat from your feet is causing dye to rub off of the leather. I wouldn't count on it going away for awhile. Wear dark socks so it doesn't show.
Reply:the leather was probably stained prior to being sent from the factory. it will stop after a while. wear dark socks to hide it til then.
Reply:it's the stuff they treated the leather with for color. it should begin to stop in a week or so. best thing you can do is wear old socks.
Reply:Its from the shoe dye. Check with hints from heloise or some such person and I bet they will have and answer.

Are patent leather shoes the shiny or non-shiny ones?
I'm trying to order back leather boots online, but I can't figure out if they are Patent or not? What does patent mean?? I want to order the leather boots that are NOT shiny. Do I select "Patent" or PU"? The descriptions don't say. Help?!?!

Boots or hesls?
one of my favorite outfit is a black leather short skirt, black tights/pantyhose. my tops alter. does this outfit look better/ more attractive in black leather boots or heels?
just in case, my boots look like this: http://www.kompakt.se/upload/black-cuban...
mine are knee high
my heels look like this:http://www.darkcastle-airbrush.ch/airbru...
Boots or hesls?
Boots.
With a miniskirt, and actual pumps/heels, it'd look like too much I think, considering you have black pantyhose on. Go with boots.
Try switching up the pantyhose with herringbone, or striped, or fishnets (even nude fishnets look so cute and really show off your legs)...
Reply:Are they really your boots, or just boots that look like them?
They're stunning!!!
Definitely wear them with the leather mini, but with barely-black rather than black tights...
Makes a better contrast between your leg and the boot, and shows them off better!!! (The boots! lol) Report It
Reply:heels.... they are alot cuter....(no offense) :)
Reply:I think that you can mix it up and either would look good
Reply:Leather boots! BOOTS ARE THE ULTIMATE SHOE!!!!
Reply:i think that it would look better with the boots since it's a leather skirt\
but i do like it with the high heels too just not as much
maybe you should wear it with the boots more often but sometimes wear the high heels with it
Reply:I think that the high heels will look better.
Reply:They're both nice, but the boots are super hot!!
Reply:Heels are cute and sexy, boots are more powerful. I suppose it just depends on your mood!

Wearing Womens Knee Length Boots Thoughts?
This is pretty self explanatory, I was selling a few items on ebay and got an email from a person I was selling stuff to who figured out what I was up to. She started emailing me and this is the reply I sent her
what can I say you're very perseptive. I have somewhat of a fetish for wearing women's black leather knee length boots inside my flat, nothing more than that. Its been going on for the last five years. I buy boots on ebay and then sometimes sell them on there as well. I think there is nothing sexier than boots, I'm not sure if its a power thing but I love to see women in boots as well as it always makes me think that they're in charge wearing them. So you're right its not really something I've ever discussed with anyone before. There is just something powerful and sexy about black leather boots. I bought those boots I was selling to wear at home but they didn't fit
I just wondered what any other women on here thought of this?

Boots!!!!!!!!!!!!!!?
where can i get mens boot................something a little outgoing punk or emo............and not the ugly leather boots the old people wear.............
Boots!!!!!!!!!!!!!!?
Journeys
they have great boots
punk to super nice
i would think yoiu could find a great pair in there
cant say they are very affordable
but investing in a great pair of boots is way worth it
Reply:My older brother (16) just wears combat, steel-toed boots. He is more rocker than punk, but his style is laid back and cool. As long as you don't care about brand names or stuff like that, you can find combat boots anywhere from Walmart to Payless to Hot Topic (if you want Doc Martens). The key is to keep your eyes open.

Your thoughts on leather?
What are your thoughts on leather? Me I happen to love leather and I wear lots of it when I go out with my boyfriend, I own 1 black knee length leather coat, 2 leather blazers (1 black and 1 maroon), 1 black full length coat, 2 black leather skirts, 1 pair of black leather pants and 3 patented leather boots (1 black, 1 brown and 1 tan).
Your thoughts on leather?
I have been an aficianado of leather since my late high school, early college days; let's just say it's 28 years later, and there's no looking back. You can't go leather head to toe, or you'll look like a spokemodel for Harley Davidson; think PIECES, PARTS, CHIC. You need to keep it up to date, trendy, clean and good looking, your hair and makeup need to be impeccable, as does your figure (there is nothing more disgusting than a fat woman in leather pants or bulging out of a skirt that is too short!) Get classic pieces--trench coat, leather blazet, knee lenth skirt, pants. Obviously don't wear it all at once. Mix it with the classics--a wool blazer, a crisp blouse, black turtleneck, big gold chains, great pumps, a great color cami. Also, the minute a piece starts to show ANY sign of wear------TOSS IT! Nothing dates you more than old looking leather. If you do it right, you can do it practically forever---it IS A STAPLE.
Reply:hehehe..when you go out and if you are going to wear all leather you must be probably look like Kate Beckinsale of Underworld..:)
if you really like leather I suggest you try something more daring and sexy..
My girlfriend bought 1 set here..

Does anyone still wear leather shorts to malls or resturants or anywhere else in public?
i have a new pair of leather shorts that lace up the side and i am looking to wear them out in public when it gets warmer?
i have a red silk dress shirt and a white satin dress shirt and want to know which would go better. i would wear it tucked in.
i hav leather boots and would like to know if fishnet stockings are cool to wear with it.
would anyone recommend a leather collar with a ring on it?
Does anyone still wear leather shorts to malls or resturants or anywhere else in public?
I don't have leather shorts, but I have a leather skirt and leather pants that I love. I also wear my leather ringed collar around from time to time.
I used to have fishnets. They lasted about 15 minutes before I snagged them. Grr.
I need to snag me some boots. I LOVE BOOTS. I just don't have any, since mine got lost in my recent move.
I don't know that I need to recommend what you wear. Either you want to or you don't. It's up to you.
Reply:Leather shorts...wear it with a tshirt, tank, or shirtless and a leather vest.
ditch the red shirt.
if you have the leather boots, you might be able to pull off the fishnets.i think it would look better without the stockings but that's a matter of personal preference.
if you do wear a leather collar, definitely ditch the shirts and the stockings. get a harness instead
Reply:I'd say wear whatever looks good to you.
As for whether or not anybody wears stuff like this out in public, I take it you've never been to WeHo (West Hollywood). If you wore your outfit there you probably wouldn't get more than a passing glance. Ditto Las Vegas. Now here in Virginia where I live? Quite another story altogether...

Ladies do you like to wear leather gloves??
I have seen lots of women wearing leather gloves lately....usually short black ones on business type women who also wear leather boots. I think they are very sexy and elegant. Do any of you enjoy leather gloves? Do you think they are attractive on a guy? Some women have said it's a power thing to wear leather gloves. Just seeing what other peoples opinions are.
Ladies do you like to wear leather gloves??
I love leather gloves, I wear them as often as I can when I'm out. I like wrist length gloves but not as much as longer leather gloves like elbow or opera length. The leather feels so soft and sensual against my skin, I feel so powerful and sexy when I put my gloves on. At home I like to wear long leather gloves all the time, especially in bed with my partner, who loves my gloves as much as I do. I don't really find gloves attractive on a guy though, I think that leather gloves are only good on women.
Reply:I like to wear leather gloves often, prefered long styles, but the style depents on the occasion. I think leather gloves make a woman's outfit more elegant, but I personaly also feel a kind of powerful. But the gloves are only a part of the complete outfit and style.
For men's outfit I think they look ok if the man wears an formal outfit. I think for women there are much more outfits with which gloves look good.
Reply:I love wearing leather gloves. Mostly the longer style. For some reason the protection they give me is very sensual. Lots of times I'll touch things or pick up things that I wouldn't without them on. Silly I know but that's just me.

What type of boots to wear in Toronto next week?
I am going to visit my sister in Toronto and am wondering what type of boots should I buy to wear. We are just doing casual stuff. I'm asking as I live in Western Australia and am used to wearing sandals, flip flops and maybe leather boots in winter. I remember when my sister came to Perth and the snow destroyed the leather on her boots.
What type of boots to wear in Toronto next week?
Halleuia! The snow is finally melting here. The weather forecast is for approx. 5-12 degrees with some rain. You won't need winter boots, but warm and dry footwear is a must.. no sandals, but runners or hiking boots, leather boots, etc.
Reply:well if you want to wear leather and your worried about the rain that is falling these days then avoid it. Being in Toronto your bound to encounter lots of potholes=puddles so I would recommend to bring a couple of pairs of runners and thick socks, if you arrive here in a pair a rain boots and then go to a cheap shot like transit or spirit then you'll definitely have no worries.
Reply:wear your cowboy boots
Reply:The snow is melting now and hopefully we won't get anymore. However, it is still chilly with rain, so you should be fine with a pair of running shoes or leather walking shoes.

BOOTS!! where can i get these and what are they called??
sorry, idk the name of those noots, but i think it would be a great idea to get uggs! i myself am saving up for a pair and cant wait for it. i suggest getting the classic tall syle in black or dark brown. that way, you cant see if they get dirty or messed up. the classic tall is $150 most of the time but it is the best because it covers your whole foolt and ankle and can be worn with anything! skinny jeans tucked in, a denim mini, flared jeans, it doesnt matter cuz it will always look cute. you can buy uggs at victorias secret:
http://www2.victoriassecret.com/collecti...
hope i helped!!
ps: DO NOT ever buy fake knockoff uggs, they arent nearly as cute, they dont keep your feet warm, and they make you look like a poser.

How do you stud leather?
I want these boots,
http://www.elleuk.com/var/elleuk/storage...
They are Louboutin studded boots. but they are equivalent to my food budget for the next 5 months. So i thought maybe I could attempt at making something similar. I'm an aspiring fashion designer, so I can take a challenge. I'll find some black leather boots, I just dont know how i could stick on studs or rivets.
Thankss
How do you stud leather?
Go to Michael's Arts %26amp; Crafts or even search online, they have a kit with certain tools (about $8 for hole puncher, 5 for rivet setting tool), and you can order studs online as well.
I think it's a great idea to do it yourself! I don't know how easy it will be all the way down at the toe since you may need to have easy access to both sides. I've used some rivets and you pound it with a hammer and should have it laying flat on a hard surface. Hopefully you'll have success with it.

http://www.tandyleatherfactory.com/produ...
Reply:yer best bet is to get a thick piercing needle and punch small holes where you want the studs to go in. then push the stud in and make sure it stays.
you can buy needles specially designed for this if you can't find anything to work. a dart head does fine.
Reply:find a store that sells just studs.
you can buy a "gun" that puts em in for ya, they're only like 15 bucks.
or, im looking right now, looks like you just need to drill a hole with a drill, and screw em in

Leather care...?
I have a few questions about leather (boot) care. I have searched the net and found tons of conflicting ways. So I will post here and get many more.
1) How often should leather boots be oiled under light to moderate conditions?
2) How much is too much oil? how do you tell how much to use and how bad is it to use too much?
3) some say neatsfoot and mink oil are bad for leathers while other swear by it? whats up with that?
Leather care...?
neats foot or mink oil is fine for boots have used mink oil for 30 years .do u wear these boots every day.if so and it is moderate use once every couple of weeks is fin for a lite coat .if u wear them for hunting then make sure you treat them before you put them away for the year and any time they start looking dry.if your feet get oilly when you wear the boot then you used to much.just put a good coat on them and rub it in when you wear them out in the rain and you dont see the water beading up on them give them another coat .youll be fine its not going to ruin your boots if you get to much on them .trust your self just do it.
Reply:Neatsfoot oil is fine for boots but not for furniture. Furniture leather must be treated differently

Questions about skirts and boots?
I love the long skirts and knee high boots style.
I'm a college freshman and I was just wondering, is it weird for a college girl to wear long skirts (around the knee and a little bit lower--not mini skirts) and knee high boots (not uggs or winter boots, but leather ones with high heels) to class? I always see girls wearing jeans, mini skirts, and short dresses with sneakers or flats, but never long skirts with leather high heeled boots.
Will a combination of something like this
http://www.skirtspot.com/kisha-charcoal-...
and this
http://www.zappos.com/n/p/dp/19237226/c/...
work out? What kind of leather boots will look better? Thick heels, thin heels, flats? Pointy, rounded toes, or in between?
I also have a pair of gorgeous ankle boots that looks similar to this
http://www.zappos.com/n/p/dp/39161104/c/...
and I hear they look really good with jeans. What kind of jeans, though? Dark colored, light colored? Flares, skinny?
Questions about skirts and boots?
I think higher, thinner heels and either a pointed or rounded toe. The square toe boots look too western-y for the skirt.
Personally, I like the skirts and boots look. I don't really like jeans and ankle boots. Calf or knee high boots look better to me - it looks odd when a woman sits and the tops of her boots are visible. Plus I've women get their jeans stuck on the tops of their ankle boots.
Reply:I think the first two items would look classy together.
You're in college. Everyone has their own sense of style. Go with yours.
For further fashion advice and ideas. I suggest consulting with Clint %26amp; Stacy on the Television Show called "What Not to Wear".
Best wishes. :-)
Reply:the lenghth of the skirt should be fine with those boots, although i prefer a skinnier heel.
i think it is a good idea to try and look different, just as long as it's not ugly!!
Good Luck and God Bless!
Reply:The skirt would look better with the high boots. As far as with jeans the tall boots would go with dark denim skinny jeans and the regular boots would look better with flare jeans.
Reply:I think it's cute!Go ahead!THOSE BOOTS ARE ADORABLE!They go good with the skirt.I think the ankle boots would look good with some light washed jeans.
Reply:What constitutes weird? Develop your own style. Be an individual. Be who you are, not who others think you should be.
Reply:I am not sure about the longer skirt with knee-high boots, unless you have a model's body... But I can totally see this length of a skirt with the second (ankle-high) boots, which are, by the way, a-d-o-r-a-b-l-e!!! I want to buy them, but it does not fit my student budget :) As far as shorter booties with the jeans - no flare! Wear skinny jeans... you can tuck them in :) Of course, dark-colored jeans... Light colored skinny jeans look weird. Of course, you can also wear shorter skirts and dresses with either two boots, unless you are entirely opposed to wearing short stuff.

Has anyone had a problem with the sole on their Ariat boots pulling away from the leather uppers?
That happened with my paddock boots, after only a year and a half of lessons once a week. A shoe repair place glued them back on for less than $20.
Has anyone had a problem with the sole on their Ariat boots pulling away from the leather uppers?
I've had mine going on for 4 years soon and haven't had a problem. The only problem I've had was the shoelaces but I guess when you trek through mud about a trillion times and have a kitten who plays with shoes and shoelaces, it doesn't help the problem :P
Reply:Yep Killed them less than a year and then I bought a pair of cheap baxters (cost me $180 less made in china),and they eventually fell apart two and a half hard years later....So I think ariats are over priced and over-hyped
Reply:Not yet, but Justins I had horrible problems with the doing that.
Thats why I switched to Ariats lol. Man I hope these don't, but like CRS said, mine have a few hundred thousand miles already!!
Reply:That happens after a lot of use with any brand I buy. I like ariats overall, though, they seem to last me 5+ years each.
The worst boot I bought was some cheap off brand with fake leather. it cracked and fell apart all over :P
Reply:Well I had some Ariat FatBabies that I wore to death for 3 years, and they finally got like that. Just tossed them out the other day actually...kept leaking on me :(
Reply:No. But if you bought them from Sheplers they will let you exchange them. Worked there.
Reply:Yes, but only after a few 100,000 miles on them.
Reply:yup, happened to me too. i got dublins and i love them.
Reply:Yup. After about 5 years though.

Can a guy wear doc martin boots with denim shorts or leather lace up shoes? Hate trainers and jandels?

Does anyone have any leather or pvc sexy knee high or thigh boots that would fit a plump size 22/24 lady???
They must have a sexy shape and not too dull! I need them for a fancy dress party and i'm going to be dressed all in black (sexy goth style). I live in Oxfordshire UK but i can pick up if you live close enough. I'm only using them for one night (possibly more) so they must be really cheap (or free if you are generous enough!!) as i have already spent a fortune on the outfit.
I have trailed through ebay, yahoo, google, ask, etc and the only boots i can find are between £70 and £150 !!!
PLEASE HELP!!!

Do lizzard boots stretch and soften like leather does?
lizard boots do you mean like the actual lizard on a boot! I don't think they would look very good and besides I think leather looks better. We should be saving animals not killing animals.

Will gortex boots stretch to fit like leather?
Yeah I got a pair and they form around your foot just like leather
Will gortex boots stretch to fit like leather?
Not exactly..Leather can "breathe" and expand some.
Gortex being synthetic does not. Can conform somewhat to your feet though.

Is anyone familiar with the way Dainese women's 2-piece leather suit sizes run? Also helmets, gloves, & boots?
I've looked on the Dainese motorcycle website, but unfortunately they use a european size chart ranging from 40 to 50 and translate that to an american 8 to 18, obviously incorrect. I'd also like to know if the boots, helmets, and gloves run large or small. Thanks in advance.

Soccer boots: Differance in quality between full grain leather and kangaroo leather?
I'm Looking to buy some adidas +F50's w/full grain leather(No kangaroo), however i usually buy kangaroo, but alot of my friends have the +F50, So idk if I should go with the +F50 TUNIT or another shoe w/ kangaroo leather. And will the full grain conform to your foot as well as the kangaroo leather?
Soccer boots: Differance in quality between full grain leather and kangaroo leather?
Kangaroo leather is softer, forms to the foot better, and provides a better touch. However a quality full grain leather boot can be just about as good and has a tendency to last longer than kangaroo leather, kangaroo leather can also have a tendency to stretch too much in the long run and not form to the foot as well.
With either leather, I feel it is real important to use leather food, once every 10-15days or so to keep the leather soft but strong. here is a url to find some good leather food for cheap
http://www.soccer.com/IWCatProductPage.p...
(they are out of the leather food for black leather, but if you look around you can find it)
Reply:Kangaroo leather can be full grain leather like any other type of leather. Full grain means it is the top 'split' of the leather when it has been tanned and that nothing has been removed from the surface thus making it 'full' grain. So this can apply to leather from whatever animal it comes from.
Reply:full grain leather doesn't conform to your foot as well as the kangaroo leather. it tends to maintain it's shape better because it doesn't stretch as much and it isn't as soft as kangaroo leather. you should still condition it though, if you get the leather f50's so the leather won't get hard and slick. i have the f50's, but they're synthetic. i like the lace cover alot (striking a ball feels amazing) and the boots are comfortable. hope this helps.

How do I dye a pair of white leather and white lace bridal boots black?
What do I use to do this, I got these at a goodwill store and they are can can dancer style but I want them black, does anyone know how I can do this without going to a professional?
Or what dye I can use?
How do I dye a pair of white leather and white lace bridal boots black?
Great article.
http://www.ehow.com/how_15423_dye-leathe...
Reply:You can dye the lace black, but leather you would struggle with unless its really old and been betaen to death. You'd have to get any of the finishing off that was applied, and I'm not quite sure how that would work. Unless its suede?
You'd probaly have to go a proffesional, where they could strip it dye it and then refinish it. And it could be very expensive, and would probaly ruin the lace
If it was me though, and they're fairly stiff boots, I'd probaly dye as much as I could, and spray paint the rest
Try Dylon cold water dyes, cause you probaly don't want to put them in the washing machine and risk messing them up. The black comes out a bit blue to start with, so don't rinse it too well, leave to dry and then dye it a couple more times. It should go blacker
Reply:Many store carry leather dye, around hear ant way. The best place to go,would be a place were leather products are sold, they sould have kits to do this...
Reply:i would spray paint them
Reply:Honestly I don't know.

How do i clean, waterproof, nubuck boots. also can i use nikwax leather conditioner on them?
the boots are Lowa Kerano gtx. brand new but with a water mark on them
How do i clean, waterproof, nubuck boots. also can i use nikwax leather conditioner on them?
Please do not use a leather conditioner like this on your boots. The fact that you have a water mark on them means you have an absorbent leather (nubuck is certainly this) and any liquid conditioner will just soak in and turn them black.
You should use a spray protector like Waterstop which is great for Nubuck and Suede.
Unfortunatley the watermark may be permanent although you could try using a napping brush which may remove it and restore the pile.

Soccer:+F50 Leather Boot(not kangaroo) or kangaroo leather boot?
I'm an aggressive defender who prolly slides about 20-40 times a game, i'm looking for a good boot that has comfort and durablity. I prefer leather, not synthetic. And if not the +F50 TUNIT, what would be a good choice, under $200
Soccer:+F50 Leather Boot(not kangaroo) or kangaroo leather boot?
i would suggest getting nike air legends. i wore them last season. they are kangaroo leather and only $125! they're very comfortable and extremely durable, one of my favorite boots. great traction in dry or wet conditions and they have a wonderful feel to them.
Reply:I recommend the Adidas classic Copa Mundial. It's definitely stronger than the F50 or other synthetics. It may not look as good as the Predators or F50s but it'll get the job done. Simple and effective. K-leather and under $200.

I want to buy knee high boots - real or fake leather - can girls suggest good shops in Aldgate & London?
Make sure you buy reall leather, as the fake stuff makes you sweat, makes your feet smell, and generally make the boots look cheap. Try somewhere like Dune, who have branches all over London - every winter they manage to come out with a great selection of original, beautiful and wearable boots in leather and suede that are fashionable without breaking the bank.
I want to buy knee high boots - real or fake leather - can girls suggest good shops in Aldgate %26amp; London?
Wrong time of year for much choice, but please no plastic, they look really tacky and get sweaty - unless you are a vegetarian or whatever. If you have large calves, Simply Be do a fantastic range of boots and Evans
Reply:I have always wanted to know where to get good Knee high boots from too but can never find any to go over my slightly large calves.
Reply:Make sure they are real leather because if they are plastic your feet and legs will get sweaty (leather has pours which allows the skin to breath).

My TB mare needs bell boots, which ones are best? rubber, leather...?
I have never had a horse that needed bell boots before, and there are so many on the market, which ones are best? She needs them for her front hooves, shes a TB so she has big feet! She has shoes on......Thanks guys!
My TB mare needs bell boots, which ones are best? rubber, leather...?
I dont use leather, or rubber. I find the skin gets irritated, hair can come off etc. I borrowed a pair and used them on a overnight trail ride. we didnt untack the horses and what do ya know! My muffy got big red circles around her feet. Not only because shes tabiano and is white where the boots happened to sit, but she has a fair coat, and uses a heavy blanket in the winter.
I like the proffesional choice ones the most. I cannot stand it when bell boots turn.. and they will if you dont get "No turn" bell boots. They well turn off to the side etc.. and defeat the purpose of having bell boots in the first place. Apart from that any bell boot is hard to keep clean.
I have used these - they are nice. and not brand name.. and they arent very pricey
http://www.horse.com/products/sku-BGV71....
I love these. They have rings around the ankle area so it lessens the rubbing. I havent had them turn yet if they are put on correct.
http://www.discounthorse.com/product/tac...
If you are doing pleasure - of any kind you cant use support boots. If you are doing barrel racing etc.. it doesnt matter. i dont suggest rubber or leather ones. although some swear by the rubber ones, they rub off hair etc.. and if your horse doesnt wear them 24/7 why bother?
Reply:In my experience with them, they tend to loose them very quickly. I buy the $10 rubber ones with Velcro and buy back ups so when a horse looses or destroys one, it's not such a big deal. Although, I use mine for turn out. If you are going to use yours for riding, I would recommend the no-turn boots. I used a pair on a horse I was training and they offered good protection and usually stayed in place.
Reply:I like the the nylon ones made by Professional Choice. If there're for showing though I would go with the rubber ones.
Reply:I would get the rubber ones. Bell boots are ruined easily, and the rubber ones are cheap. They work just as well. Make sure you get the pull over kind- NOT the velcro. Those are disasterous.
The horses at my barn that use bell boots wear them 24-7 (riding, field, and stall), and I reccommend that you do the same!
I like the ones like this: http://www.horsetackinternational.com/pu...
Reply:i prefer the prof. choice synthetic velcro non-turn ones. they are amazing. but, rubber ones seem more durable (no velcro that rips when horse steps on it repeatedly) and can stay on for a max of 3 weeks. it really depends on you and your horse's job/ disc.

Reply:The rubber boots will work the best
Reply:Rubber. They last, they're better and you can treat 'em bad, leave them out etc. (prob better not to) and they're fine.
Reply:I would get the rubber pull on's. They may not be the best to pull on, but if you get the nice thick ones, they will last!!! I have and i hate the velcro ones!!! I also hate the plastic or leather ones... i would highly reccomend the pull on's (rubber) :)

I'm showing on NIHJA and i was wondering if you need field boots or if paddocks and leather half chaps are OK?
i have to get custom boots if i get any my legs are 21'' in height and 14 1/4'' around im a size 8 1/2 too. i cant find a brand other than a custom company that carries a size like that. So if i am allowed to show in my boots and chaps im going to. Thanks

I would definitely invest in a pair of boots. If you're serious about showing, they're a must. You would probably be the only one showing in adult classes (judging from your height and shoe size) without them. I also ride IHSA, and only those in walk/trot divisions wear half chaps. Though they may be acceptable under the rule book, remember that the judge observes overall appearance (especially with hunters) and may write you off in the beginning without field boots. I'd check the size charts of the top brands and see if there are any that fit (tall slims are probably your best bet). Even if the calf is a little too wide, that's better because you can wear thicker socks in the winter, no one can tell that it's too wide, and if you run/your calves get bigger, you have room. Good luck!
Reply:Hi! In all organizations that I familiar wtih (not NIHJA, but AQHA, 4H, Pony Club, etc) here is the answer...Yes you can wear your paddock boots and half chaps. In the classes where it's judged on the horse and the overall prettiness (i.e. hunter under saddle) you might not be quite as successful if it's a big show with lots of nice horses. In equitation classes (judged on your ride) it should have very minimal effect. I'm not sure when your first show is, but I would work on getting regular field boots in the near future. You can find a local seamstress and have her put in a zipper and elastic for very cheap (the ones in MN usually charge like $15). Hope that helps!
I just checked your rulebook and it says that you follow USEF rules - so yes you can wear half chaps...but again, if you want to be taken super seriously and want to win the big classes I'd invest in field boots.

Is it appropriate for teachers to wear short leather skirts and hooker boots?
My english teacher dresses like a hooker is that school apropriate especially if we have to follow the dress code.......
Is it appropriate for teachers to wear short leather skirts and hooker boots?
No. It is not appropriate. You should inform your parent/s, and then your principal. This is quite a bad example and I am quite surprised that an educator would ever consider wearing something so provactive. Teachers are not just there to educate and assist students learn, but, they are there to set role models for their students. By doing this as you have described, it sounds as if this teacher is playing with fire as to see how far she can with breaking rules or surpassing limits, or, it appears as if she might be trying to attract male students.
To be completely honest with you, it wouldn't surprise me with the latter. There are so many teachers today in our school system that have such a strange and demented view on daily occurrences, this could very well be one of them. Any other school would instruct their teachers if they came into school like that, that this is completely not allowed. There are some teachers out there, as there are students have a dostorted view on getting what they want, even if it means attracting the opposite or same sex.
So, yes, it is not appropriate for educators to dress provactively or sexy as you have stated here. I don't know what grade you are in, I'm assuming that it is middle school? Either way though, it doesn't matter what grade, children up to 18 and even passed 18, are impressionable throughout their teens, and this should be re-thought majorly.
If I were you, I would indeed bring this to the attention of not just your parent/s, but, the school's administrative board as well, like the principal or even possibly the superintendent. I hope though that it wouldn't have to come to that.
There is a time and a place to dress the way your teacher does, school is not one of those places.
Best of luck with your concerns.
Reply:Hell yes if she's hot, she can do it as long as the kids are over 18.
Reply:Teachers at the school I am in, are encouraged to wear smart clothes, certainily not short leather skirts and hooker boots!
Reply:no it is not, you should inform your parents and have them bring it up to the principal and if that doesn't help have them bring it up at the next teacher/parent meeting.
Reply:Only if she's teaching sex ed and she is the demonstration model.
I agree that teachers should follow the same dress codes as the students - at our elementary they even wear flip flops- it's disrespectful.

just kidding, of course it's inappropriate

Reply:No, it is not appropriate for a teacher to dress this way! She should be setting an example for her students, and not trying to appear sexy to her students. This type of dress causes all sort of problems with the male students and does not set the example for the female students. Someone should call her aside, and very politely tell her this. Beware of this, English teachers tend to be in a world of their own and do not always think as most teachers do. Good luck, Gerald
Reply:its not appropriate, but Im sure attendance is good...
Reply:No that isn't appropriate. If she is looking to be on the news for complaints %26amp; disclipline, she is an open target...if she is advertising for a side job w/underage students she will achieve her tasks. Someone will tell if the "S" word happens and it will stop after getting caught.
I would complain to the school board, they will take care of it publically in the presence of parents %26amp; students %26amp; probably the lawyer that represents the school board.
Reply:Not at all appropriate in that setting.

Reply:There is no way that any reputable teacher would dress that way, and no way that any reputable school would allow it. Of course it's inappropriate and if it's really happening then the school board should be made aware of it and asked to handle the matter.

If not - it would not be appropriate at all!
And it probably would make a huge difference if she were only teaching girls or only boys!
Reply:It depends upon the culture and if the school has a strict policy of course not. I do wear mini-skirt every Friday but not like a slvt style. Cute styles. The school principal or director should call on her attention.

Reply:Is she the teacher that always has rumors about her having affairs with students?? I had a teacher like that in high school and the rumors never stopped (I am sure they weren't true, but I guess the unprofessional dress sparked our imaginations to what she did outside the classroom....)

Reply:I don't think it is at all appropriate! I sort of question her motives for dressing like that.
Reply:Nope, the dress code applies to all. How can they set a good example if they din't follow the rules too?
Reply:I think not, if they are wearing such clothing, then they are setting a bad bad example for the children. school is not a place to show your hooker talents.

Reply:If none of the other teachers have complained about it, then perhaps she fits into reegulations.
I personally don't think that's appropriate in an academic environment.
Reply:Does it really matter? As long as she isn't breaking the dress code of conduct, then you can't really do anything about it. Teachers will dress up how they feel like it, and though it's a shame, I'm sure role call is flawless when it comes to the straight males.
