It depends on the boots but if you get them wet while you have them on and wear them until they are dry they will shape to your foot.
Does anyone know a good way to soften up or break in a new pair of leather work boots?
Mink Oil, put boots in oven (100 degrees shut off) place boots in oven til warm enough to spread the mink oil on. Hunter husband swears by this method

Reply:My husband treats them with mink oil...this softens them, but also helps to waterproof them.
Reply:go for walks in them. the heat will soften the leather. put paper in them when you take them off, they will keep their shape. polish them with kiwi polish to soften the leather. if the back of the heels at the top rub you. bash them with a hammer, but first cushion the leather with a folded towel to stop any damage.

Reply:This is the best way I know , When ever I by a new pair of shoes or boot´s I put large freezer bag´s on my feet ,put my feet inside the shoes walk around the house . This way your feet will stretch the shoes to fit your feet , without having any blisters. It work all the time. Don´t wear sock´s whilst doing this To soften the leather use saddle soap

Reply:this sounds daft but i swear by it it works bake a large potatoe wrap it in tin foil and shove it into your boots it softens the leather and streches any steel toecaps leave over night

Reply:There is some waxy stuff which is used on horse tackle. You can get it from most shoe shops.
Reply:Tape up your feet with elephant tape untill they%26#039;re worn in, it%26#039;ll stop the blisters.
