Is there any possible way to get an amaciated cat smell out of my leather boots?

As a veterinarian, I have been amazed at what Febreeze can do. I have been dosed with some of THE most smelly tomcats, onto brand-new and/or expensive clothes. I%26#039;ve doused them, and put the item out in the fresh air and sunshine to dry, and then laundered it. I haven%26#039;t had a failure yet.





Now leather? I am not sure how that would do as it is porous, and can (depending on the type) be affected by liquids. But hey, it was already wet, right? . But I think if it is a case of throwing leather expensive items away or giving it a douse and a try, I%26#039;d be willing to try.





If there is a problem %26quot;spraying%26quot; area for cats, ask your vet about how to use %26quot;Feliway%26quot;, which can convert a spraying station into a chin-rubbing station, often. Not always.

no. Get a new pair of boots
Reply:No. Not really. Leather likes to soak up that stuff. Depending on the type of leather, and aside from saddle soap, most things that will remove cat smell, will leave a whole new smell, and probably discolor the boots as well.





It might be better to just get new boots.

Reply:Oh my goodness, I know what that%26#039;s like...We %26quot;use to%26quot; own to cats that would do that and it seemed impossible to get rid of that preticular smell, really....I remember they really liked my husbands boots which were also leather work boots. You might have to chunk em%26#039;...If you don%26#039;t mind doing it, you could spray them down with frebreeze and setting them out in the sun..The sun tends to rid things of the stinky bacteria...Hope that%26#039;ll help..
Reply:Rub them with Undiluted White Vinegar and allow this to sit on the boots for about an hour then rinse with hot water and allow to air dry Good Luck !
