How can I water proof leather work boots with rubber toe caps ?

I ve used liquid siliccon two coats no improvement socks end up beiing wet since temp is about 36 F very uncomfortable

If the silicon spray didn%26#039;t work, you may have to get boot rubbers to put over the boots.

Reply:neats foot oil or mink oil, both are heavy wax like grease compounds that ill work into the leather and seal the seams.





they will darken the leather. i am not sure how they will work after the silicon though.





try an army navy store or an outdoor store like gander mountain or calebos on line.
