How can i stretch leather shoes to make the width wider?

i have a pair of leather boots that are a bit tight, i want to make them wider, is there anything i can do to make the leather more slack or is there anything a cobbler can do??

How can i stretch leather shoes to make the width wider?
cobblers!

they will have the answer!
Reply:Yes, cobbler could help for sure. You can also buy things to put in them that twists and turns to stretch them, can't think of the name.
Reply:damp newspaper

Or you can buy a shoe stretcher, it can stretch them length ways and width wise
Reply:You used to be able to buy a spray called "Leather Stretch" or something like that. Have a look in the big supermarkets or ask somewhere like Timpsons (or similar)

My daughter had "difficult" feet and after we'd sprayed her shoes and boots with that, we put heavy wooden shoe trees in them to stretch them a bit. Aldi have them on sale at the moment. They are certainly better than the old newspaper packing.
Reply:use newspaper in shoes for some days ,,or use wet newspaper
Reply:Take them back to the shop from where you purchased them, and ask for an exchange and get half size bigger and you should be alright.st reaching your shoes or boots in your case, is not a good idea as once you have walked them in they will feel to large and cause blister's
Reply:get scrunched up newspaper and put it inside to the size you want it stretched and then stick it in the freezer it works. The scrunched up wet newspaper ruined my £800 burburrey boots
Reply:Get the leather completely wet. Pack the foot part of the boot with scrunched up newspaper. Change paper regularly until boots are dry.
Reply:buy a shoe stretcher!!!
Reply:1.shoe stretcher spray - spray before you put on

2. wear socks and walk around indoors for a bit

3. ask someone with bigger feet than you to wear them for a bit
Reply:Lend them to me to wear for a while?
