Any tips on care on leather-like boots?

I have a couple pairs that are older and I wondered if there is something I can rub into them to make the color more even...and make them look nicer. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated. Thanks

Any tips on care on leather-like boots?
I use to work in a shoe store, We would wipe the shoes/boots with a solution of vinegar water. But, don%26#039;t get them too wet. Just wipe the dust and dirt off. Then let them dry. when dry, rub them with vasoline. rub is right in as good as you can. Then wipe the with a clean cloth. They should look new.
Reply:So they AREN%26#039;T leather? You can use regular shoe polish i think. Just read on the bottle, it will say what materials its good for. You can also buy these things called ShineSponges, they are in the shoe care section too, they just shine your shoes with a nice gloss, its very quick and easy.
Reply:If your boots are scuffed up....use a nail polish remover on them, that will clean them up to just like new!!!
