Can you shine real leather cowboy boots?

I have scrathes on my cowboy boots and I was wanting to know if I could shine them to make them go away.

Can you shine real leather cowboy boots?
You don%26#039;t shine them, you dress them with saddle soap a kind of greasy material that conceals a lot of wear on the boots. Leather gets thirsty. Dryness leads to cracking, and is the enemy of leather.
