Can i wear leather riding boots out in the snow?

or will it get ruined?

Can i wear leather riding boots out in the snow?
Snow is water based (obviously). Coat it with %26quot;Dubbin%26quot;, which is similar to a %26quot;saddle soap%26quot; used on Horse riding saddles. It provides a wax-like coating. They still might get a bit damp after several hours as water can work its way through the stitching - but if you are walking through snow occasionally - it should do the trick.
Reply:I thought leather streched if it got really wet
Reply:i would but these lot say it will ruin them lol depends if there from home bargains or schuh lol
Reply:last year when i wore my leather boots in the snow (they cost £100) and they were fine ..

the salt in the snow leaves a stain on it but you can easily wipe it off with a cloth
Reply:noo leather will ruin when it gets wet..
Reply:I used to use a coating product on my riding boots but I don%26#039;t remember what it was called. Something like the product in the link I listed might be good though.
Reply:Don%26#039;t when leather gets wet it gets ruined
Reply:yes. don%26#039;t get leather wet. it%26#039;ll ruin the boot. especially snow, since many times its mixed with salt.
