Reply:Tell them that you've been in touch with trading standards, and you'll take the case further if you don't get refunded. If you paid for them on your credit card, they will be insured so call your credit card company. If all else fails, sell them on ebay. Good Luck.
Reply:how would we know if you can get a refund?

what help would it be if you went back to the store, after speaking with the manufacture-none the less- and saying "well the general opinion on Yahoo answers is that i CAN get a refund..."?

call the store and pitch a fit
Reply:Not sure of the law there but in the UK you would not be intitled to a refund as there is no fault. Leather is a natural material that does stretch. This is like asking for a refund on a balloon as it has burst. It is to be expected. Your only hope is that you can prove they have overly stretche, very hard to prove. Failing that the only way you will get a refund is if they decide to give you one out of goodwill using their discretion. It will depend on how long you have had them, how much wear they have, if you have the receipt and just who you talk to on the day. Maybe another fault could develop with them though, that would be a seperate issue they would need to look at on its own but don't do anything that will ruin them incase they don't go for that either
Reply:you should be able to get a refund when you purchase something like that if should last at least 6 weeks, in fact things should last 7years! if your not happy with something you are entitled to complain. ask to speak to a manager. Have a look at this is good.

Reply:take them back and complain
Reply:Bring them back to the store. Ask to talk to a manager. Write a letter to the company that sold them and the company that manufactured them.
Reply:if you have the reciept and its within the companies guarentee, then i dont see why not...

i would suggest giving your local trading standards a ring, to find out your rights.
Reply:no refund,, sorry. just put a couple of viagra in them at night, that should work! thanks for the 2
Reply:depends when you bought them. did they they say there were a fashion boot or not. fashion boots are not desgined to be worn out in all weathers. so i they did not state this you may have a case. in the UK you have more rights. trading standard officers can explain the law on this to you if you live in UK. I'm not sure if the USA has something similar. go back to store ask to speak to the store manager ,explain your case and say for good customer care they should give you a cash refund or goods to match the original cost.if they do not agree to this. say that is a real shame as you heard that their store was a good store, now you will right to the owner of the store stating the bad customer care and they buy bad goods. then you will be writing to the boot company to ask them to test the boots to see if they are indeed faulty. finally you are really disappointed with them and all the upset it has caused you and the readers on a yahoo.
