a good shoemaker could add an elastic gusset into the inside seam of each boot to give you more calf room.

I have the same problem. Even though i am rather slim I have big calves! I find capezio boots work well for me
Reply:yes they can extend the outside of the zipper by about a 1/4 of an inch.(on both sides i think) aparently it's quite common in english riding.
Reply:Yes they can, my friend had a pair of riding boots that were too big and they made them smaller. I'm sure a shoe tailor person could make it bigger :)
Reply:yeah, just take it to the place where you bought it from or to some shoe tailor.
Reply:no......you would just have to get a bigger size
